As promised here are the first photos from Brazil. The location, a little fisherman's village called
Praia do Forte, just 50 kilometers north of
Salvador (the capital of the
Bahia state).

This colorful place was in fact one of the first places to be colonized by the Portuguese discoverer's. In here they build a fort (to protect the nautical path to the entry of
Salvador's bay) and this little church dedicated to Saint Francis (in Portuguese, São Francisco).

Besides this colonial buildings you'll also find in there some very nice shops, bars, restaurants and the main facilities of the
Tamar Project (an initiative devoted to the protection of the sea turtles - photos coming soon).

Finally I'll leave you with this photo of the typical boats they use in there.
