Today, the photos of the interior of the St. Peter's Basilica, a place that is, to say the least, absolutely overwhelming.
As you can see above, not only the building is huge but wherever you look there always a sculpture, a statue or a painted representation of a bible scene. It's simply amazing, nothing was left undone and everything single detail is exceptionally well ornamented.
Above the sculpture of the Apostle Peter who gives is name to the Basilica and bellow the most famous Pietá in the world, the Michelangelo's Pietá - beautiful isn't it...
One useful information - if you are going to see the Basilica mind your clothes - they don't allow the men to visit the church wearing shorts and the women must use shirts that cover the shoulders.
