As I said in my last post here are some photos of the Basilica di San Pietro (In English, Saint Peter's Basilica). As you can see bellow, even from a certain distance, the view of the basilica is absolutely amazing.
Above, a photo taken from the start of the Via della Conciliazione (a street that takes you directly from Castel Sant'Angelo to the Basilica and bellow, one taken at the entrance of the Cittá del Vaticano.
Bellow a view from the Maderno's facade, with his giant Corinthian columns and the statues of Jesus, John the Baptist, and eleven of the apostles.
In the last photo, a view from the St. Peter's Piazza (In English, St. Peter's Plaza) where you can see, to the right and to the left, the large set of columns that goes all around the plaza and in the center the Egyptian obelisk and the two fountains that complete it.
