Castel Sant'Angelo, Rome, Italy

Castel Sant'Angelo is an important roman monument that you can find right in the middle of Rome's historical center. Although originally built as mausoleum for the Roman Emperor, it was later converted into a fortress and nowadays it's used as a museum.
Located on the right bank of the Tevere river (in English, Tiber) you can find it easily walking from Piazza Navona towards the Vatican - about 10 to 15 minutes walk.
