On the way from the center of Rome to the Vatican one should make a mandatory stop in one of the many bridges over the Tiber river (In Italian, Tevere Fiume).
Taken from the bridge called Ponte Umberto (right beside Castel Sant'Angelo) here are two photos where you can see many of Rome's landmarks. Above, the Mausoleo di Augusto (center to the right), the Villa Borghese (center, behind the bridge) and another bridge called Ponte Cavour.
In this second one, a view towards the Vatican with the Saint Peter's Basilica (bellow to the right) - place were I'll take you in my next post.
