First of all, a special thank you to
Cornel and
Juliet from "
Life Made Great" who sent me this beautiful set of photos of the Mauritius island, a tropical paradise off the East cost of South Africa (about 4.5 hours flying out of Johannesburg).
The island is known for its idyllic beaches - see photo above - but it also has a hidden wealth of greenery, waterfalls and trails in its inland National Parks - bellow a photo of one of them, the
Black River Gorges National Park.
Mauritius is also home to the giant lily which can be viewed at the local botanical gardens. Spectacular, isn't it?
Finally, there are lots of fun outdoor activities, from quad-biking and zip-cording, to snorkeling and sub-scooter rides.
Definitely, it has my vote.
