Aloha! There are Many Ways to Take Your Breath Away in Hawaii

Once more with Steven, this time with some radical sports proposal in that paradise spot called Hawaii. Thanks Steven & also thanks to Open Galleries for the Photo!

When you have island fever, there are tropical havens strewn across the planet for your pleasure, but nothing can satisfy like Hawaii. As a seasoned island hopper myself, I can shout it from the misty volcanic mountain tops that a vacation to Hawaii has it all. Gourmet dining, sumptuous accommodation and some of the friendliest island people in the world are on the USA shores of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Kona Coast for a first-class getaway to meet and exceed most budgets.

If you prefer your fun in the sun in the fast lane, Hawaii has some of the longest and most thrilling zip lines in the world. Set in a lush tropical paradise, hook up and fly over tropical terrain and exotic wildlife with the spray of sea salt in your face. Big Island zip tours along the North Kahala Coast are designed to be a low impact ride in order to protect the delicate forest between the zip line runs. Clip and zip over cascading waterfalls and surreal volcanic formations with eight adrenaline pumping lines and walk across a suspension bridge over the waters. This rain forest safari and Jungle Jim experience lasts a delicious four hours and is suitable for most ages and fitness levels.

If you want a leisurely day off-shore on a tranquil boat, there are plenty of them in Hawaii to accommodate you. However, if you want the feel of a rocket launcher over the waves, you betterget in line for the Honolulu Screamer, located in South Oahu. This monster ride is recommendedfor the physically fit and not the feint of heart. Blast off for a serpentine twist and turn thrill ride over the crystal clean ocean with breathtaking coastal scenery views for a 45 minute ride to remember. Pregnant women are not allowed on the Honolulu Screamer, but as for the rest of us,deal me in.

Finally, don't pack up your suitcase until you have strapped the parasurfing gear to your back. The head rush and flood gate of endorphins is beyond description. The parachute capturesintense wind gust that can shoot you thirty feet straight up in the air before you can blink. Theview is amazing and the feel of freedom trumps any other adventure on the beach.

Hawaii is the perfect getaway for structured island tours or independent travel. Hotels range from the clean and comfortable to Maui villas with marble halls and chandeliers. Whether you have a luxurious two or three weeks to spend or just need a quick tropical escape, the Hawaiian Islands are user-friendly to book yourself a week of fun-filled full or half-day excursions and seize a slice of paradise any way you like it.
