Goodreads Summary

My name is Meghan Chase.

I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.

This time, there will be no turning back.

Review

The Iron Queen is FANTABUAZING!

There are times when a book is so breathtaking that you feel as if you were transported right into the story. That is exactly how I experienced The Iron Queen. Julie Kagawa’s magical Fey Realm came to life and whisked me away from the mortal world.

Meghan’s confidence grows stronger and she proves that she is much more than a timid princess who needs to be protected. She is powerful and in control of her destiny. I love that girl power reigns supreme! Oh, and let me tell you, girl can face her fears and fight when she needs to.

Gosh, I love these characters. Ash steps up as Meghan’s protector. He is never far away, and he encourages her to take matters into her own hands. Puck remains loyal to Meghan and his goofiness helps lighten the mood when the stakes are high. Don’t forget Grim - he is as sarcastic and bothered as ever.

The Iron Queen has epic scenes. The kind of scenes that could be in a movie. The kind of scenes that everyone talks about later. The kind of scenes that you do not forget – ever. From battles and romance to tragedies and humor, Julie Kagawa creates magic.

Make no mistake, The Iron Queen is a MUST READ.

Cover Comments

Hurray, it’s pink!  But not just any pink, it's like a cranberry-ish pink.  The cover art fits in perfectly with the earlier books in this series. The font is feminine and I love those pretty swirls.
