It’s true. We had an inch of snow here in Austin on Friday, and our entire world came grinding to a halt. Highways were closed, work and school was cancelled, and there were car accidents all over tarnation.
ONCE INCH. It was fabulous.
I know that, for many of you folks, inches or even FEET of snow is old news and more of a nuisance than anything else - but for us Central/Southern Texans, snow is a delicacy. A pure and captivating little gift from mother nature, and not an event to be taken lightly.
And it just so happens that Gracie and Cooper had never experienced snow in their young lives, so we all had a magical time traipsing around the backyard and discovering all sorts of new and intriguing objects, such as frozen poop. Cooper trotted about examining all the poop piles, seemingly fascinated by it’s new and… frozen qualities.
Here are a few pictures of the day’s festivities. Husband and I are about to head off to our little anniversary getaway, and part 1 of the love story’s a-comin’ first thing tomorrow morning. ;)
