REVIEW
Do Over! Who hasn’t done something they regretted and then wished they could turn back the clock for a do over? Katie’s magical locket gives her the ultimate do over opportunity.
Katie has been dating Isaac forever. He’s the popular jock who can be self-centered to the point of being a bit jerky. Katie messes up big time when she kisses their good friend, Mitch. He’s a light-hearted guy who has been like a brother to Katie for many years. These three are typical high school kids – the average girl, the popular guy, and their best guy pal.
When Katie’s locket sends her back in time, things get strangely mixed up. At first, there are just some little things that are different. For instance, the theme of the prom. Soon enough though, some very big things are different. In fact, some changes may lead to dire consequences.
The Locket has a plot that does not quit. There are layers of detail and some very unexpected twists. Stacy Jay does a wonderful job of building suspense and pacing her story. I liked everything about The Locket.
