GOODREADS SUMMARY
After her brilliant run on Broadway and surviving the harsh concrete jungle of New York City, seventeen-year-old Hollywood "It Girl" Kaitlin Burke is back in L.A. starting a sitcom with her former-nemesis-now-BFF, Sky. The show is a huge success! In fact, maybe a little too huge, Kaitlin realizes, after a bad run-in with aggressive paparazzi puts her boyfriend Austin in danger. She wishes, once again, that she could have a normal life.
But what Kaitlin doesn't realize is that her Hollywood life has had a positive influence on just about everyone she loves, and it takes a minor car accident and a nasty concussion to truly grasp how lucky she is. In Jen Calonita's sixth and final Secrets of My Hollywood Life novel, Kaitlin learns at last about the price of fame, the unending upside of friendship, and that there really is no pls ace like home-even if it's Tinseltown.
REVIEW
I have had such a good time reading about Kaitlin and her adventures in Hollywood and on Broadway in this series. She has been through a lot - starring on an extremely popular TV series, dealing with the egos of other actresses, learning how to stay out of trouble off-stage, having her series canceled, keeping a long distance relationship with her boyfriend – A LOT.
In this final book of the series, things are going great for Kaitlin. Her new Hollywood show is a hit, she is friends with Sky (her former rival), and her relationship with Austin is moving forward. I liked seeing Kaitlin happy with everyone getting along.
BAM
An accident caused by the paparazzi leaves Kaitlin with a concussion. While she is recovering, Kaitlin imagines what life would be like if she had never been famous. Let’s just say that things would have been VERY different and Kaitlin realizes what is truly important to her and what she should be thankful for. I think the concussion changed her in a good way.
Hey, I think I just figured out the title. There’s No Place Like Home – just like in The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy hit her head, had that crazy dream, and woke up at home thankful for what she had.
Back to my review.
I like that there was some resolution to Kaitlin’s relationship with her mother – her “momager.” These two have had a rocky time in the past, and their surprising solution solves all of that.
I think this book is a nice ending to an enjoyable series. You know, I don't think I'd be cut out for the Hollywood lifestyle, but I had fun reading all about it.

COVER COMMENTS
I think the bright red is a perfect fit since it symbolizes Dorothy’s shoes in The Wizard of Oz. Nice touch!
