Goodreads Summary
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch.
That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.
Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers.
But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?
Review
Sophie is a demon on a mission. With a fiery and sarcastic personality, she shines as the main character. Sophie is dealing with all sorts of drama, but she keeps her eye on the prize. I was reminded of why I adored Sophie so much in Hex Hall. Now she has crazy wild demon powers on top of her spunk. WoW!
Things are not as Sophie thought they were, and she has to adjust her feelings and actions. All sorts of family history and secrets are revealed. Rachel Hawkins spins a complex plot with unexpected surprises.
Demonglass is so much more than a typical paranormal story.
Romance? Expect the unexpected! Archer is still involved, but there’s someone else in the mix now too. You will totally not see this one coming. It’s such a great story-line and I like that Sophie wasn’t too quick to make any decisions.
Oh my gosh the ending is a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers. I wish I had a crystal ball so I could know what happens. Since I don’t, I will have to wait with everyone else to see where this amazing series goes next. It’s not going to be an easy wait.

Stunning and absolutely perfect. Sophie as both a mortal and a demon is great. I love the two different backgrounds too – the brick wall and then the fire. It’s hot!
