GOODREADS SUMMARY

With the stunning revelation surrounding Bliss's true identity comes the growing threat of the sinister Silver Bloods. Once left to live the glamorous life in New York City, the Blue Bloods now find themselves in an epic battle for survival. Not to worry, love is still in the air for the young vampires of the Upper East Side. Or is it? Jack and Schuyler are over. Oliver's brokenhearted. And only the cunning Mimi seems to be happily engaged.

REVIEW

For me, The Van Alen Legacy is the relationship book of this series. Sure, the Blue Bloods are struggling to survive against the Silver Bloods, but that is not what drew me in. The complex relationships between the characters did it for me.

Schuyler is traveling around the world with Oliver, but she harbors strong feelings for Jack. She is torn between two really great guys.  Schuyler and Oliver go to Japan, France, Italy, and other countries as they run for their lives.  Their relationship evolves as they make their journey.

Mimi also finds herself choosing between two guys. In this case it is Kingsley and Jack. I like that Kingsley, who has a dark side, is back in the story again. Sweet Jack finds himself caught up in so much relationship drama.  Mimi is growing up and starting to make better choices.

For Bliss, it is not a boy crush that has her on edge. Instead, she is working through a complicated and dangerous relationship with her father. This is some serious father and daughter stuff for sure.  Bliss, it turns out, is one very tough girl.

I am anxious to see what happens in the next book in the series. This unique vampire series has me hooked.

COVER COMMENTS

I see the Eiffel Tower in the skyline to represent Schuyler and Oliver’s visit to France. Those red lips are a perfect match for the title font color. Sweet.
