REVIEW
It’s a demon apocalypse of epic proportions! Nearly everyone is dead. Abby, Carter, and Max are lucky to be alive. Or ARE they? *insert creepy music*
When Abby, Carter, and Max set out to find a safe zone in another state, they are faced with many obstacles. Hound demons are all about, but there are also other frightening demons to contend with. Some demons are in the form of birds, others can speak, and some can take over your mind! That’s not all though.
The few humans who remain are distrustful of each other and of strangers. Who can blame them, really? There’s little to eat, festering wounds, death all around, screams of the wounded and no hope. Megan Duncan really gets into the minds of these survivors and their desperate struggle.
Abby is tough. Even in this horrific situation, she stands strong as she becomes the leader of her little group. And by leader, I don’t just mean in an emotional way. She is the best fighter of the group, slashing demons with her knives like a pro. Carter is the braniac of the group and he brings some fancy solutions to sticky situations. Then there’s Max. He’s been friends with Abby forever, and reading about their past really made me sad for all they had lost.
Released is a non-stop thriller with a shocker of an ending. I loved every word!
