And time for a good cause! The Snoopy Parade is currently being held in Lisbon, Portugal where it will stay till the next 15th of August. So far, twenty family sized Snoopys have literally invaded the city streets in order to help gathering funds for the UNICEF Schools in Africa Campaign.
The twenty Snoopy statues are about 2.6 meters high and were decorated by several Portuguese artists and public figures. Scattered here and there along two of the city avenues: the AV. Duque D'Avila and the Av. da Republica I present you, above and bellow, two of my personal favorites.
The blue one is work of the Humorist Nuno Markl and his wife Ana Galvão and the other green one was made by the Sapo.pt team.
If you're passing through Lisbon dont miss the chance to see them! After the street exhibit ends all the statues will be auctioned (reverting 100% of the funds for the UNICEF program) and then who knows were the cute Snoopys will go to... :)
As usual, a big thanks to OpenGalleries.org for the Snoopy Parade Photos.
