Cleveland has the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame for a couple reasons. One, the term 'rock and roll' was first applied to music by DJ Alan Freed there (Record Rendezvous owner Leo Mintz had suggested it to make R&B have more appeal to white kids). And two, Cleveland was the only candidate to put up the many millions of dollars necessary to build it.
Turns out it's the right place for it. Here's my article on why.
Also, Cleveland has 25-cent BAR BOWLING.
