Morro de São Paulo is a fabulous place (just three hours away from the city of Salvador) on the island of Tinharé - one of the islands in the Baía de Todos os Santos bay.
Above and bellow are photos of the first two of the fabulous four beaches you can find in there. With only about 100 and 200 meters they are the smaller beaches but it's right in there that you can find the majority of the restaurants and bars of the island. Would advise you to try the lobster - it's superb.
In the photo bellow the third beach, a place were you can find some small hotels to stay for the night, you can also stay in the village (but the view you have here...). The atmosphere in the island is absolutely fantastic. The people are very nice and friendly - Renato if you read this, cheers!
As for how to get there? Although you can reach it directly by boat or by plane from Salvador, since the boat takes forever and the plane is bit expensive, I would advise you to follow another path. The best option seems to be taking the catamaran from Salvador to Itaparica (another of the islands of the bay) and from there following in a bus all the way to Valença (you pass across a bridge and reach the mainland again) were you can get a boat to go directly to Morro de São Paulo.
