Park Güell Terrace, Barcelona, Spain

Still in Park Güell, after climbing the main staircase and before reaching the terrace one should stop for a while to admire the Doric columns area that supports them. Here, Gaudí decided to use the ceilings to expose several of his unique tiles sets.

After this, it's time to climb the serpent stairs (to the right of the columns) and head to the terraces. Along the way one can look left (photo bellow) and see the mix of styles Gaudí used and the way the top of the columns merge with what appears to be a wall of tiles.

In the photo above you an see the lower court terraces where the ex-libris is obviously the tiled bench you can see above. Circling the entire area, filled with colors and without a single strait line - simply amazing - Guadí's genius yet again...
