Valladolid is a small and typical Mexican village. Just a few miles from the Mayan Pyramids of Chichen-Itza, it's the perfect place to make a little stop after visiting the archaeological site.
In the photo above you can see the Cathedral of San Gervasio and other two shots of the village's main plaza. Also all around the plaza there are several souvenir stores where you can buy local products at good prices.
Since it's always very hot in the Pyramids site I would recommend you to stop in one of the many cafes and restaurants they have there (like the one above, PS: loved the beetle) and rest a little while enjoying a cold beer.
Above, a series of street views taken along the city streets with several of those so typical and very colorful Mexican houses.
