Xcaret Turtle Center, Cancun, Yucatan, Mexico

Without doubt my favorite thing in the Xcaret Eco Park was the Turtle Center. In an effort to help preserving the endemic species of the region, they keep and treat many specimens in there such as the Green Turtle and the Loggerhead Turtle.

In the several several pools and tanks you can observe the turtles in their various growth stages - above two fully grown Turtles and bellow one of the nurseries.

In the nurseries the infants grow safe from all threats, therefor helping to maintain high the hopes on the survival of the species that lay their eggs in the local beaches.

Finally, not by its quality that in fact it isn't great but by the little one I manage to catch on photo, perhaps my best photo ever... Meet, Rebecca's brother ;)
