Nainital, Uttarakhand, India

And it's time to another online travel :) This time let's go all the way to India with Akshay to visit Nainital, in his words, a heavenly destination to relax and rejoice...

Nainital, have you ever heard about this exciting tourist destination? It is an awe-inspiring tourist destination located in the state of Uttaranchal in India. I have been there a while ago... It’s scenic views and the panoramic backdrop was exhilarating to look and as well I was delighted to spend my time with the nestling beauty coming along with the blend of wonderful sights and sounds resembling hilarity and merriment.

Being located at an altitude of 6300 feet over the sea level, it contemplates the grandiose mountains at the day hours and sparkling stars in the night. The name Nainital was extracted from the temple located in the north of Naini Lake known as Naini Devi temple. Enshrined with the idol god Naini Devi – the reflection of Lord Durga with her Shakti form, Nainital is one of the best places that I have visited ever! Chill weather endures all through the year and it remains snowy from December to February.

Accommodation in Nainital was just simple, where I and my family stayed in a villa that matched my budget dearly well. Besides these, there were number of cottages and bungalows available. It is all your choice whether to book a villa or cottage or bungalows to stay. We went there in the middle of April, and I gotta know that it was the right time to visit there. You can plan your vacation during March until June, since it is the best time to visit Nainital.

Being noted for its historical worth and adventures. Particularly the Hanuman Garh temple that has shrines of the divine god Hanuman, The Tiffin Top – a peak with 2290 meters is called as Dorothy Seat, Snow View – a stance located on the crown of Sher-ka-danda ridge and its height goes up to 2270 meters which extends a magnificent view of the town, The Nainital Observatory, The Nainital Zoo and many other places are interesting to watch and have fun!

We stayed there for 2 days, and had exciting time with trekking expeditions in the day one. We visited the Hanuman temple, zoo, and as well the observatory the next day. Yet another interesting activity out there was shopping. Wow, shopping at Nainital is ethnic where we purchased some woolen clothes, herbal products and a few candles. Besides these, you can find several other products like wooden structures and many more. It was amazing to be there, as our stay there made us relax, and laze around and unwind stress.

A big thanks for this guest post to Akshay, who writes for Mustseeindia - for more about India, check it out :)
