GIRL OF THE MOMENT
By: Lizabeth Zindel
FIRST SENTENCE
“This book is my confession of the summer I chose to break all the rules and go after my dreams.”
SUMMARY
From Book Flap
When Lilly’s internship at the Museum of Modern Art falls through, she thinks her summer is ruined. Then her hooks her up with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to intern for Sabrina Snow- sixteen-year-old Hollywood starlet and the girl of the moment. From the pages of Party Weekly magazine, Sabrina’s life looks like a nonstop merry-go-round of glamorous parties, red-carpet events, and designer clothes. But Lilly soon learns that being Sabrina isn’t easy- and neither is being Sabrina’s intern.
REVIEW
Lilly is a good example of someone who is acting like a doormat. She lets the other characters walk all over her and she never sticks up for herself. Sabrina, on the other hand, is just plain mean. She is bossy and only cares about herself.
To be honest, I don’t care for either one of them. I like girls who are strong, confident, and nice. Lilly finally got a bit of self-confidence by the end of the story, but Sabrina never showed any signs of being a nice person.
Although the plot was unique, it did not live up to my expectations.
