But when new student Jasmine Moon announces she is also running for president, Brianna learns that she may have more competition than she expected.  Will Brianna be able to stick to her plan of working with her friends to win the election fairly?  Or will she jump at the opportunity to steal votes from Jasmine by revealing an embarrassing secret?

REVIEW

Everything about this book was cute.  It was cute that Brianna wanted to be the president of her grade because she wanted to be like her idol, Miss Delicious.  By the way, the name Miss Delicious was pretty cute too!  It was also cute that some of Brianna’s cupcake and frosting recipes were included.  The “Itsy-Bitsy Wild Banana Bites” sound yummy!

The story follows Brianna as she campaigns for the title of fifth grade president.  She certainly took the campaign too far when she was facing fierce competition from the new girl, Jasmine.  Brianna learned that it was smarter to take the high road in situations such as this.  That’s a good way to live your life.

I loved how the story ended and the way Brianna matured.  I think Winston has a knack from getting into the minds of her tween readers.  This cute book was a quick and engaging read.
