I could not put this book down. Seriously. I only stopped reading to eat. It was THAT good.
Radiant Shadows centers on Ani, Devlin, and a new character named Rae. I really like that Marr switches up the perspectives from one book to the next. Each book in the series has a different feel to it, but the plots are all inter-laced together. It’s just so beautifully done.
The characters have an amazing depth to them. Ani is tough on the outside, but inside she is a bundle of nerves. Devlin is torn apart by his sisters – War and the High Queen. Rae is mysterious and her presence lets the reader see things from a distance.
The ending! You will not believe it. Oh my gosh, it is brilliant. The story continues in February, 2011 with Darkest Mercy.
