Today, for BBAW, we celebrate the very first book blog we discovered.  When I decided that I wanted to expand my reading hobby, my parents suggested blogging.  I had never even heard of a blog before, let alone one about books!  So, we set out to find some book blogs as examples.  We found all sorts of book blogs, but it wasn’t long before we noticed a pattern.  So many of the YA blogs had a certain blogger listed under their “favorite bloggers.”  That blogger was WORD for Teens.

Nicole from WORD has become one of my best book blogging friends.  She is like a big sister to me!  She offers advice when I need it, sends other book-lovers my way, and is a lot of fun to chat with.  Oh, and I did I mention she is an all-around awesome person?

WORD has something for everyone.  There are original features, author interviews with great questions, amazing giveaways, and very honest reviews.  Heads up - Be sure to check out the Books Spooks Halloween celebration from October 17 – 31 on WORD.  Go check it out, you'll be glad you did.  Really!  Would I lie to you?

Nicole just started college and I just started Middle School.  While we both adjust to our changes, we are still keeping in touch and blogging like crazy.  I have a feeling we will be friends for a long time to come.
