CRESCENDO
By: Becca Fitzpatrick
FIRST SENTENCE
“Patch was standing behind me, his hands on my hips, his body relaxed.”

Nora Grey’s life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn’t pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He’s more elusive than ever (if that’s possible) and what’s worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora’s arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn’t been acting so distant. Even with Scott’s totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him – despite her lingering feeling he is hiding something.
If that weren’t enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether the Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything – and everyone – she trusts.
REVIEW
Becca Fitzpatrick is an AMAZING writer. Her words bring Crescendo to life and make it all so real. She is a master of including teasers, foreshadowing, and unexpected twists in her plots. I love her style!
And then there’s Nora. I want the Nora from Hush Hush back. This new Nora comes across as being naïve and untrusting. Nora, what is wrong with you girl? Can’t you see that Patch likes YOU and not Macie? Why oh why don’t you trust him?
I loved learning more about fallen angels and the Nephilim. This is where all the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place. I was blown away by the paranormal part of the story and you will be too. There are some hints, but it’s still surprising. I told you Becca Fitzpatrick is awesome!
The ending, oh the ending, it is BEAUTIFUL. It leaves me wanting desperately to read book three, Tempest. How will I last until next October?
