Review
First, let me get you caught up a bit. In the first book of this series, The Faerie Path, Anita learned that she was the missing Princess Tania in the faerie world. This time around, she is searching for her missing mother, Queen Titania. Anita is able to move back-and-forth between the mortal world and the faerie world. Nice.
There were three aspects of The Lost Queen that stood out to me.
First, Tania came around and embraced her inner princess. She became so attached to the new faerie world that she seemed a little torn in deciding which world she preferred. I loved the tension this added to the plot.
Second, the faerie world setting was amazing – as in totally enchanting and beautiful. Ball gowns, castles, exotic islands, magic, woodland creatures – you get the idea. There was none of the ugliness of the mortal world. Just rainbows and sunshine all around!
Third, I enjoyed the very funny adventures of Tania’s sisters in the mortal world. I am a sucker for a good humorous scene, and there were some great ones in The Lost Queen. Let’s just say that light bulbs and televisions were never so fun!
The Lost Queen improved on what The Faerie Path started. The sixth book, The Charmed Return, releases on February 25. 2011. I need to get cracking reading books three through five.

Purple is my favorite color, so you know I love the purple background. The glistening stars are a nice touch and make the cover look magical. You know, I think Tania’s hair looks a bit like mine, only a lighter color. = )
