Downtown Lima was gorrrgeous.
Each and every building seemed to ooze age and beauty and vibrant color, and though much of our sightseeing there was done from a bus window, we had the opportunity to walk around a bit and snap more pictures.
One day in that city was not enough.
We had lunch at this amazing old mansion that had been in the same family for 17 generations.
17 generations! It was beautiful…
Like I said, we were in Lima for only one day before we jet-setted to Cusco and my favorite leg of the trip (even despite my violent altitude sickness and the overall lack of oxygen at 11,000 square feet).
The raw culture, the Andes mountains, Machu Picchu—all of it was completely and utterly enchanting—like something from another world.
Can’t wait to share it with you, though my pictures could never do this country justice.
Til next time!
