Best Places to Live in Bangkok

When you opt to live in Bangkok, you move considering the nightlife, the restaurants, the shopping, the culture and the people. But, different people have different opinions as to the best place to live. Some believe the best place to live to be the most luxurious; others prefer a stunning view whilst their friends may simply want good value for money. Whilst there can be no accounting for personal preference, we have broken down the best places to live in Bangkok into sections so that you can choose for yourself.
Most luxurious:
If you want to live in absolute luxury then it's hard to beat some of Bangkok's most expensive buildings. Home to the crème de la crème of condos and apartments, Bangkok housing is up there with some of the world's best.

The Millennium Residence, for instance, located on Sukhumvit Road is an astounding complex home to (wait for it!) water features, a pool, sauna, steam room, games room library, clubhouse, gym, tennis courts, playground and a jogging track, you feel as though you're in a world of your own - even though you are in central Bangkok. The condos hidden within the complex are as luxurious and modern as the exterior with amazing views. From the 'duplex grand penthouse' you can even see the Benjakiti Lake and the Chao Phraya River. The Millennium Residence truly is a decadent experience and a pricey one too!
The Conrad Bangkok Residences are, once again, an example of complete luxury but with a more traditional feel and alternative perks to the Millennium Residence. Traditionally a hotel, the Conrad Bangkok is also home to several apartments. Your money at this residence will gain you: a fully serviced apartment with access to several restaurants; a coffee shop; access to the fully equipped business centre; rooftop garden; luxury spa; fitness centre; outdoor pool and tennis courts.

Best location:
As a general rule: the more money you have, the better the location of your condo when you live in Bangkok - or anywhere else for that matter. That being considered, the best locations really are going to be the most expensive. But there are some other great apartments available beyond the obvious.
Victory Monument is a popular place to live in Bangkok due to its great transport links and situation near a major landmark. Condos can be found here at reasonable prices.
On Nut is a great place to research due its location near several bustling markets and BTS links. A family friendly area, On Nut houses a range of condo choices with easy access to all amenities.

Best value for money:
If you wish to live in Bangkok and are searching for a condo at the cheaper end of the spectrum, Pinklao is a great place to look into. The backstreets of this area of Bangkok feel traditionally Thai, being a predominantly Thai population. Pinklao is a great place to rent a condo in Bangkok if you want to stay away fro m the tourist traps and find a slice of the real Thailand.
Chinatown is another lively and value for money area to live in Bangkok. Full of charm and charisma, this district is hard to tire of and is home to some great shops and restaurants. Despite not being authentically Thai, Chinatown is definitely one to put on the hit list.
Whatever your choice of a place to live, ensure you choose a Bangkok condo that is appropriate to your needs. With Bangkok's fantastic transportation systems you will easily be able to enjoy the sights and Bangkok buzz, no matter where you choose to call home.
