Anna Dressed in Blood is THE CREEPIEST and SCARIEST book I have ever read! OH. MY. GOSH. It just drips with blood and gore! I am warning you ahead of time, I read the first half at night and then I had a scary nightmare when I finally did fall asleep. This book is SOOOOO SCARY!
Anna is like an unstoppable and powerful force! She kills everyone in her path in such gruesome ways that they are BEGGING for death. Bahahahaha! It’s terrifying because she has no control at all over what she does, why she does it, or who she does it to. NO CONTROL! That’s the chilling ghost Anna who brutally kills anyone who sets foot in the Victorian home she haunts. There’s another Anna though. Beneath that ghostly exterior is a sad and lonely Anna. She has regrets. She has suffered a million times over. I just wanted to help this Anna and tell her everything was going to be okay. That she wasn’t responsible for what she had suffered.
The horror scenes are epic scary! There are descriptions of death that left me shaking in fear and afraid to be alone in the dark. Blood spills constantly, limbs are ripped off, there are ghosts, and sad stories, and death all around! Be prepared to be terrorized Out. Of. Your. Mind!
Cas. He is the most grounded, level-headed, ghost-hunting, exorcist-type guy ever. Really. He travels around the country with his mom and their cat. Their mission is to search out ghosts and RE-KILL THEM. Bahahahaha! How Cas is able to stay so cool and calm while carrying out his deeds is beyond me, but he comes off as a professional. That sounds weird, but it’s the best way I could describe it. Cas has a job to do and he does it and then moves on to the next ghost. Very matter-of-fact.
If you like your creepy stories with lots of blood and gore, then pick up Anna Dressed in Blood. Just be sure to leave a night light on when your read. It really is THAT SCARY.
