Another spot you surely don't want to miss in Morro de São Paulo are the natural pools, located in the fourth beach, just a nice thirty minute walk from the village.
Just ahead of the last palm trees of the third beach you'll reach a rocky beach area (photos above and bellow). To have the best view make sure you go there when the tide is low, otherwise although the area seems huge, there's really not much to see - the sea covers almost everything.
The wildlife one can find in this place is amazing - besides the colored fishes that swim in the many salted water ponds, the variety of crabs hidden between the small rocks is unbelievable - just look bellow this cute friend I made there.
As to the colored fishes the main inhabitant of the place is, who else, the Sargent Fish (usually found in warm waters). The thing I didn't know about them is that they were crazy about shrimp appetizers...
And me knowing that the nice man just gave them one - were they two tasty morsels and who knew how many more would have came...
