I'm no country girl by any stretch of the imagination, nor am I in actuality a true Texan (Jersey girl, hollaaa); however, I am of the opinion that only truly uncultured individuals cannot find within themselves an appreciation for gettin down and dirty once in awhile.
*Note: When I say "gettin down and dirty" I mean that loosely at best as I try not to ever actually get dirty.*
Anyway, you may have stopped by two posts ago and noticed I'd be out at my in-laws ranch all weekend. Well, I'm back, and I know you're dying to hear all about it and probably hoping that I got stung or bit or gored or something equatably intriguing. Sadly, I regret to inform you that I avoided all major catastrophes; however, I did take a lot of sweet blog-worthy pictures that will probably make you wish you could swap weekends with me. Or maybe not. It just depends on how lame your weekend was. ;)
Yours Truly...
The Wildlife....
Ok, so maybe these don't count as wildlife.
My father-in-law was practically feeding this enormous wild boar out of his hand!
This little piggy family was all lined up and waiting for the one last straggler!
These rams let you come within inches of them; they're practically pets!!
Blue Indigo snake slithering across the road...
I told you the spiders are as big as your fist.
My beautiful mother-in-law
Is she adorable or what?
Mwah.
Rocks From Past Hunts...
You may remember from the previous post that my mom-in-law, Lynne, and I LOVE to go walking up the dry river bed hunting for cool rocks AKA "treasures." Here's a couple pictures from Lynne's extensive collection of rocks:
These are all metal pieces from a meteorite shower!
Scenery...
This little charmer landed right on my MIL's wrist and hung out with us for a while. I got some GORGEOUS pictures of him (or her).
Out Treasure Hunting...
Me and My Lova...
The End!
Ya'll come back now, ya hear? ;)
