Salvador Downtown, Bahia, Brazil

Again in the beautiful São Salvador da Baía I return today with three more photos taken in the lower part of the city near the touristic harbor.
Above, the old harbor structure transformed nowadays in the principal tourist port where you can catch several boat connections from the capital to the majority of the islands on the bay (Itaparica, Ilha dos Frades, Ilha de Maré, Tinharé, among others).
Just beside the main plaza is this other fantastic port building which, along with the port itself, is another fine example of the Portuguese colonial architecture.
Finally, one of the city landmarks - the city market (in Portuguese, O Mercado Modelo) - which is definitely worth a visit. Besides it's beauty the atmosphere of the place is fantastic. Everyone was very nice and you can find in there somo craftsmanship and local products at nice rates.
