Right in the middle of the town you'll find a piece of architecture like no other in Lisbon. The Bullfight Arena (or Bullring, I never know) was built arond the late 18th century and its Mourish influences made it rather unique building.Like most of the arenas the building has a circular form. It has four towers like the one above, each of them facing one of the four cardinal points. The West one was chosen to serve as the main entrance and it was accompanied by two smaller turrets (also see above).
The Mourish influences are scatered all arround the place, from the characteristic arcs of the doors and windows you can see above to the spectacular rounded towers you can admire in more detailed photo bellow - I'll try to find some more photos from the inside, who knows from a spectacle, and post them too.
The place was reacently renovated and it has now a capacipty for about 10.000 people seated. It has a commercial galery beneath it and in the main arena it hosts circus spectacles, concerts and, of course, every thursdays during the season the bullfigths it was first built for.

Reading about the Campo Pequeno Bullfight Arena in Lisbon reminded me of the time I struggled with my bachelor's thesis. Just like the rich history of bullfighting, writing a thesis requires in-depth research. That's when I turned to ghostwriter services, which made the process much easier and stress-free.
