Review

Kaitlin is back in this third book of the Secrets of My Hollywood Life series.  Also back, is mean-girl Skye.  What’s different is that there’s a new rival on the set.  Her name is Alexis, and she’s not going to back down quietly. 

Cue the drama!  Not only do the girls get into it behind the scenes, but on set too.  Backstabbing, a cat fight, secrets revealed – it was a complete mess for these three.  Seriously, there were times when I just wanted to slap some sense into them so they would just get along.

Kaitlin could get a little whiney as she longed for a normal teen life.  She didn’t always appreciate what she had.  Come on, millions of girls would give anything to be in her shoes.

Austin, Kaitlin’s crush, is still around.  He’s not a huge part of the story, but he’s a sweet guy who’s just trying his best to make sense of all the girl drama.  I hope he will be a bigger part of the next book in the series.

Overall, this wasn't my favorite book, but I liked keeping up with Kaitlin’s adventures in Hollywood and I plan to read the rest of this series.  I really like that Jen Calonita includes some of what goes on when a show is being filmed.

Each book in this series looks like the cover of fancy journal.  This time, the color is a pretty ocean blue.  The gold accents with the “K” for Kaitlin are so Hollywood!
