GOODREADS SUMMARY
Twelve-year-old Kat Stephenson may be the despair of her social-climbing Step-Mama, but she was born to be a magical Guardian and protector of Society--if she can ever find true acceptance in the secret Order that expelled her own mother. She’s ready to turn the hidebound Order of the Guardians inside-out, whether the older members like it or not. And in a society where magic is the greatest scandal of all, Kat is determined to use all her powers to help her three older siblings--saintly Elissa, practicing-witch Angeline, and hopelessly foolish Charles--find their own true loves, even if she has to turn highwayman, battle wild magic, and confront real ghosts along the way!
REVIEW
Set in old-time England when girls were expected to be prim and proper, Kat is a breath of fresh air. With a healthy dose of middle grade fantasy, this book is just plain fun to read. Simply put, I love Kat the Incorrigible.
Spunky and rebellious, Kat is every proper lady’s nightmare. Incorrigible means uncorrectable and beyond reform after all. Kat is by far my favorite character in the book. She has a hilarious take on pretty much everything! While you might think Kat being only twelve might make for a narrow-minded story, but her young innocence just adds to the fun.
Now, what you’ve all been waiting for, the magic. Kat has a magic mirror portal that she finds in her mother’s old things. This portal is how Kat discovers that she is the successor for her mother’s magical guardian job. So, with her powers awakened, Kat begins to realize just how vast those powers really are. She can deflect any spell, enter magical portals, change her appearance, the list goes on and on. .
In 1800 England, it was common for girls to be married off at a young age. Both of Kat’s older sisters are in quite a predicament concerning this whole marrying business. Elissa is about to be married off, but she is really in love with her husband-to-be’s brother. Angeline has somehow bewitched a boy into loving her, but could the two of them fall into love for real? Kat puts her newly found powers to good use as she tries to save the day.
Being incorrigible never looked so good. You will fall in love with Kat.

COVER COMMENTS
I would love to have a tea party with Kat and her magically floating tea cup! Oh my gosh, isn’t it great that she’s reading a book too? Well played cover.
