MOONGLASS

Jessi Kirby is the author of the incredible novel, Moonglass.  The setting in Moonglass is based on the ocean-side town where Jessi lives.  

I asked Jessi, what are the best things about living near the ocean.  Here is her tens list.

10. Inspiration all around.

9. Sand so hot you have to run across it on tiptoes.

8. Moonlight on the water.

7. Having an excuse to own a ridiculous amount of bathing suits.

6. Making the first footprints in the sand with my running shoes.

5. Watching my kids play in the water until the sun sets.

4. Enjoying it in so many different ways: surfing, scuba diving, swimming, sailing…

3. Being able to see all of its different moods, from sparkly and golden, to angry and powerful.

2. The smells of summer that drift in through the window: sunscreen, bbq, salty ocean.

1.  That my daughter calls the waves her lullaby.

This is all enough to make me wish I lived near the ocean too.  If you have a thing for the beach, you will fall in love with the setting in Moonglass.  And the story is REALLY good too.
