GOODREADS SUMMARY

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris - until she meets Etienne St. Clair: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.
As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near - misses end with the French kiss Anna - and readers - have long awaited?

REVIEW

Anna and the French Kiss is a dreamy tale of first love. The stage is perfectly set. Anna is an American teen sent to boarding school abroad. Etienne St. Clair is a handsome and charming Parisian (well, also English and American). The story is set in Paris, the most romantic city in the entire world.

But wait. St. Clair already has a girlfriend named Ellie!

This story is delicious. Anna and St. Clair feel a strong mutual attraction. These two cannot stop thinking about each other. They are so cute!   But what about Ellie? How will St. Clair make the choice between these two girls?  The tension just adds even more zing to an already great plot.

What I adored the most about this book was how slowly the love between Anna and St. Clair grew. It was like watching a rose bud bloom ever so slowly into something beautiful. Stephanie Perkins captures that once-in-a-lifetime feeling of magical first love.  I can't wait until it happens for me someday.

5 LOVED

COVER COMMENTS

The Eiffel Tower in the background brings the setting to life. I love how Anna and St. Clair are on the bench together, but still far apart. Now, if only we could see all of St. Clair, then it would be perfect!
