REVIEW

Carrier of the Mark whisked me away to the whimsical land of Ireland complete with Celtic mythology. The setting was one of my favorite parts of the book. I loved the lush greenery of the hills and the rich blue of the Irish Sea. The small town of Kinsale felt like a moment of the past perfectly frozen in time - pleasant and beautiful. The people of Kinsale were nice but they knew all of your business, sometimes even before you did.  *insert mysterious music here*

The DeRis family has long been a mystery. The people of Kinsale have suspected that the DeRis were witches who wanted to hex them. Witches or not, there IS something different about this family and it has nothing to do with hexes. What I really liked is that they are a loving family tightly bound by their secret destiny.

My favorite member of the DeRis family was Áine, the twin sister of Adam. Although she had a great deal of responsibility on her young shoulders, Áine was welcoming to Megan, the new girl in town. I was inspired by the way Áine handled herself.

Megan and Adam had instant chemistry. Normally I like a romance to move slowly. In this case, though, I was intrigued by how all-consuming the attraction was between them. There’s a catch though. Something just may be making it difficult for these two lovebirds to be together.

Carrier of the Mark is a thrilling debut with romance, action, and myths.  What's not to love?

COVER COMMENTS

Awesome cover! The electric blue dress with the blue swirls below is just breathtaking. I am supposing that the blue swirls have to do with the circular mark. I love how the title is translucent when it covers the dress.
