REVIEW

Warrior school is intense!  There is some serious in-your-face action when the Mythos Academy students are in training. And then it heats up even more when they actually fight. Swords, cross-bows, spears, and magic combine to make some majorly impressive battle scenes. Even a girly-girl like me can’t get enough! 

Apparently, Gwen likes her battles with some romance on the side. Gwen and Logan have something going on between them, and then they don’t, and then they do, and then… Oh my gosh, the drama! Logan is a contradiction unto himself. He is the Spartan bad-boy who really is a good-guy if you look close enough. Gwen is a sneaky girl who gets into some trouble when she starts using her special power.  Touching items to see their past is a power not to be taken lightly.  Gwen is still learning this lesson - the hard way.  I like Gwen and Logan together as a couple.  And, surprisingly, I like the drama that surrounds them and it adds flavor to their relationship.   

Someone wants Gwen dead and it’s not even remotely who I thought I was. TOTAL SHOCK! And why this person wants her dead is even more of a shocker.  Really.  I haven’t had a book do that for me in a while and now I want to do it again and again. SHOCK ME Jennifer Estep! 

I love the Mythos Academy series for its battles, romance, and the very unexpected.
