Again with Nick, this time in the British capital for a quick review on three of the top plays available in London's theatres. A really good help if you're are to decide what are you going to see there ;)
There are so many great shows to choose from in London’s West End that you’ll be spoil for choice when planning a theatre break. Know your audience and think about the members of your group, and a clear winner is likely to come shining through. Legally Blonde the Musical - Great for a group of girly girls, this fun, frothy musical is dripping in pink. There’s singing, dancing, jokes and even a cute little pooch for the a wwww factor – what more could a girl want? Find group accommodation nearby and seek out the best cocktail bars in Soho and you’ve got all the ingredients you need for the perfect girl’s weekend away.
Ghost the Musical - If you’re travelling with a group of couples then something romantic like Ghost the Musical is likely to go down well. Based on the classic film, this new show is sure to have everyone gooey eyed by the end of it.
Shrek the Musical - Those planning to treat the kids to some theatre will find themselves spoilt for choice when looking for fantastic family friendly shows. Shrek the Musical is popular with both boys and girls, and the kids are likely to be familiar with the story of the loveable ogre and princess Fiona. Little girls will also appreciate the chance to see Kimberly from Girls Aloud in the starring role. If Shrek isn’t quite there I think you also have the sweet story of Matilda, The Wizard of Oz or the fantastic alternative that is Wicked, and classics like The Lion King to choose from. The only thing that may not be quite so family friendly about a West End theatre break is the cost of tickets, so save on your accommodation with Travelodge to bring the overall cost of the break down.
Funny the topic of this guest post Nick :) I've been in London recently and opted to see the "Mamma Mia" play and liked it very much! Would add it to the good choices for couples, it's both romantic and very happy.
