Bangkok is the World’s Best City 2011

Travel + Leisure Magazine released its 2011 "World's Best" list, with Bangkok voted as the best city in the world in the annual vote, voted by readers of luxury travel magazine.

Top ranking in both the world and in Asia, scoring 90.49 Bangkok retains its number one ranking in the world for the second consecutive year after being voted the best city in 2008 and 2010.




In voting to choose the best city in the world, where they have been asked respondents to rate attractions, culture and art, restaurants and food, people, shops and value.


The survey of Travel + Leisure World Best Awards readers Annual 16th 'reveals favorite hotels, cities, islands, cruise lines, airlines, car rental agencies, wellness centers, tour operators and safari outfitters.

Rounding out the top 10 list of "best cities in the world 'is Florence, Rome, New York, Istanbul, Cape Town, Siem Reap (Cambodia), Sydney, Barcelona and Paris.


In addition, the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok voted the number one prize from the Top Hotel City, the Peninsula was voted the number four, number 19 and Shangri-La.


The winners of each category will be awarded in a ceremony July 14 host-Chief Nancy Novo Frog and VP / Publisher, Mr. Jean-Paul Kyrillos new C Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
