Here we are again, Monday. You are extra sad after an extra awesome weekend. I had my birthday all over again on Saturday, and I got my presents from Matthew and the best dinner I’ve had in a long, long time. To the tune of a couple delightful drinks (especially delightful was Truluck’s “Red Door” martini… umm, HEAVEN), crab and corn chowder, Matthew’s most amazing “knife and fork caesar salad,” and some beef tenderloin. Oh, and free dessert! Just for having a birthday! For people that eat a lot of boiled eggs and chicken breasts, and for someone who’s been eating far too much yogurt and “soft food,” this was a night to remember. :)
You did us well, Truluck’s! And we’ll be back.
spelled my name wrong… but I forgive them.
Lovely Christmas tree at the Driskill Hotel. Gosh I love this time of year. Try and soak it all in, you guys. There is so much extra beauty all around you, and most of it is free.
Edd is getting set up with in-home hospice today. Looking forward to having my mom back at home (five minutes away!) where I can keep her better company, and we can do a little Christmas baking together. One thing Edd hasn’t lost is his appetite, and he’ll love some Christmas goodies.
Hope you guys have a really nice Monday! Stay tuned later this evening for a few more outfit details from our little night out on the town! :)
PS – Lab results came back on my friend the cyst. NOT cancer. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
